Introducing the Cheshire North and East Group of 16mm Narrow Gauge Modellers

We’re a newly formed group of 16mm narrow gauge railway enthusiasts based in the Wilmslow area of Cheshire. Whether you’re already deep into the hobby or just curious about getting started, our aim is to bring together like-minded people to share ideas, enjoy running trains and build a friendly local community around this rewarding pastime.

You don’t need to have your own garden railway to join us. Many modellers are happy to welcome others to run trains on their layouts and part of the fun is visiting different setups and seeing how others approach the hobby.

As we get started, our focus will be on arranging informal meet-ups, open days and social events where members can get together, talk railways, run a few locos and enjoy the relaxed, hands-on nature of 16mm modelling. Over time, we hope to grow into a regular and active group, with a calendar of events across the seasons.
